America is a joke.

The first Presidential debate occurred Tuesday, September 29th and it was everything you would imagine it to be. It’s actually embarrassing to think that one of these men actually have to become President. Neither candidate attacked the topics that really needed to be discussed and when they tried, the other candidate couldn’t help to interrupt them. Many found this debate entertaining and it was for the most part, but I can’t help but feel truly worried about this country.

President Trump and Joe Biden.

There was too much that occurred the first debate to analyze all of it but there are some key points that I think should be pointed out. First, it surprised me that both candidates were live-tweeting during the election? Maybe I missed it, but I don’t remember seeing them be on their phones. The tweets were just both Trump and Biden bashing each other back and forth as if they weren’t right next to each other debating on national TV. The second thing I noticed was how Trump answered the question about white supremacy. “ Proud Boys, stand back and stand by” is how trump responded and I’m honestly not surprised. If you don’t know, the FBI refers to the “Proud Boys” as a far-right, male-exclusive group that have ties to white nationalism. That definition alone should tell you all you need to know about Trump.

Trump live tweeting nonsense during the debate.

I believe the debate between Kamala Harris and Mike Pence will be more organized and focused on the topics and not each other. I do expect this debate to more heated and fact-based. This presidential election will go down as the most historic one to date yet for all of the wrong reasons. It’s scary to think about where this country will be in just the next few months. It’s even scarier to think that things can get worse compared to how they are now if the wrong man is elected into office.
